Have you ever had that feeling of being caught? Caught in the middle of a decision that in your head seem to be the right call but from other angles, it feels so wrong? Have you ever had that knowing feeling of what should be done and with whom, yet you are webbed in by the indecisive state of your being? Ever felt that nagging in the pit of your stomach that pulls at your thoughts so effortlessly? To the point where you feel the end of this pitiful demise will only give you a painful release that doubts the flavour of sweet joy on your tongue. The tired line of anger that melts into your bones and the knowingness that you wasted years thinking the best you could’ve done was wait for the answer that will not come. The answer that you will have to make. The answer that in any way you spin it or flip it, you will affect the life you are trying to protect. Gazing up at the star-crossed sky, waiting for a little beyond a miracle, you may find that you had the answer all along. You can’t ask for advice. You have to decide and follow that panging in your heart. That banging in your head. The one you should’ve listened to years ago. The one that always sang the indelible notes like a lullaby. The one that told you to say ‘no’ from the get-go. The one that now you owe it to yourself to protect. Love that one. Cherish that one. Because that’s the only one that’s ever had your back.
