About Moms’ Coffee Break

My name is Renae Peynado.

I am a mother, teacher, educator, linguist, adventurer, learner, food enthusiast, inspirer, writer, skeptic…

I am a lover of dogs…and big cats too. I think I actually like wild animals. I am from the tropical island of Jamaica.

So enough about me. Let me tell you the purpose of this page. I am here to share my experiences, my intimate thoughts which for some reason, no matter how I try tend to come out quite poetic. I am here to be that voice for all single and coupled mothers who have so much going on they just need a break, or a relatable forum even. We are the superwomen that no one sees and whether we would like to accept it or not, we certainly need that occasional break. I am here to be that vocal meaning that we all seek. I am here for the shy and bewildered, the broken and the tortured, the excited and ashamed. I am here to help those of us who need it to walk out and be the person we have always dreamt of being.

If you want your voice to be heard, I am here to be that strength when you cannot find it. I am here to be that support that you need. And believe it or not, you are here to be for me all the things I want to be for you. We are going to use this blog to voice our opinions unequivocally and unapologetically. We are here to be each others’ coffee break.
